What does all-inclusive car rental actually include?
An all-inclusive rate bundles everything you would otherwise pay extra for at the counter: collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection with the excess refunded, glass/tyre/undercarriage/roof cover, extra liability insurance of at least €10 million, unlimited mileage, all local taxes and airport fees, towing costs, key and document cover, a fair fuel policy, free cancellation up to 1 hour before pick-up, and 24/7 English-speaking support - with no booking fees.
Is all-inclusive more expensive than the cheapest rate I can find?
The headline price is usually a little higher, but it already contains the insurance, excess waiver and extras that budget brokers sell separately at the desk. Once you add proper zero-excess cover to a "cheap" booking, all-inclusive is frequently the same price or cheaper - and you avoid the deposit hold and counter pressure entirely.
Do I need a credit card to rent a car?
Often, yes - most rental desks block a deposit on a credit card in the main driver’s name. With the No Deposit option you can rent without a credit card at hundreds of European destinations, paying instead by debit card, bank transfer or PayPal, with nothing blocked at the counter.
What is the excess (deductible) and is it covered?
The excess is the amount you are liable for if the car is damaged or stolen. With all-inclusive cover the excess is refunded: if any amount is charged or held locally, it is paid back to you. Many bookings have the excess waived up front so nothing is held at all.
Can I cancel my booking for free?
Yes. With the flex/free-cancellation service you can cancel up to 1 hour before pick-up at no charge, for any reason.
What do I need to bring to pick up the car?
The main driver needs a valid driving licence, a passport or ID card, and the booking voucher. With the No Deposit option no credit card is required at the counter.
Is there a mileage limit?
No. Unlimited mileage is included as standard, so you can explore your destination without watching the odometer.
What happens if I break down or have an accident?
Roadside assistance and towing are included, and a 24/7 English-speaking emergency line is available. Damage is covered by the included CDW/TP, and any excess you have to advance locally is refunded to you afterwards.
