All-inclusive car rental in Spain

Spain is the most popular all-inclusive car rental destination of all — and with good reason. From the Costa del Sol to the Canary and Balearic Islands, the country is built for road trips, and the No Deposit option is more widely available here than almost anywhere else.

Spain is at its best with your own car — and at its most stressful when a rental desk pushes overpriced insurance and blocks a four-figure deposit on your card. DisDou solves both: book all-inclusive and your cover, excess waiver, unlimited mileage, taxes and airport fees are all in one clear price, with a No Deposit option so no credit card is needed at the counter.

Why book all-inclusive in Spain

Public transport thins out quickly once you leave the cities, and the best beaches, white villages and mountain passes are reached only by car. Booking all-inclusive means the insurance, excess waiver, unlimited mileage and airport fees are all in one clear price, with no four-figure deposit blocked at the desk.

Every booking includes CDW and theft protection with the excess refunded, glass/tyre/undercarriage/roof cover, €10 million extra liability, towing, roadside assistance, a fair like-for-like fuel policy, free cancellation up to one hour before pick-up, and 24/7 English-speaking support. See what “full coverage” really means, or whether all-inclusive is worth it.

Driving in Spain: what you need to know

Spain drives on the right. Mainland motorways are a mix of free autovías (A-roads) and tolled autopistas (AP-roads), though many former toll roads — including the AP-7 along the Mediterranean — are now free. The Canary and Balearic Islands are entirely toll-free, and fuel is noticeably cheaper in the Canaries. Carry a reflective vest and warning triangle, and note that Madrid, Barcelona and a growing list of cities now enforce low-emission zones (ZBE) in their centres, so it is easiest to collect your car at the airport and drive straight out.

The best regions to explore by car

  • Andalusia. Málaga, Seville and Granada anchor a region of white villages, the Alhambra and dramatic mountain roads like the climb to Ronda.
  • The Costa Blanca & Costa del Sol. Sun-drenched coasts from Alicante to Marbella, with hidden coves, marinas and inland sierras a short drive from the beach.
  • Catalonia & the northeast. Barcelona, the coves of the Costa Brava and the Pyrenees, all linked by the now toll-free AP-7.
  • The Balearic Islands. Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains, Menorca’s calas and Ibiza’s quiet north — each easy to circle by car.
  • The Canary Islands. Year-round sun and volcanic landscapes on Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and beyond — all toll-free.
  • The green north. The Basque Country, Cantabria and Galicia offer a cooler, wetter Spain of seafood, surf and Rioja wine.

Suggested road trips

  • The Andalusian loop: Seville → Córdoba → Granada → Ronda → Málaga: a week of Moorish cities and white hill villages.
  • Catalonia & the Costa Brava: Barcelona → Girona → Cadaqués → the foothills of the Pyrenees.
  • An island circuit: A few unhurried days driving right around Mallorca or Tenerife.
